Shane Ophus graduated from Western College of Auctioneering in Billings, MT in March of 1982 and has been conducting many types of auctions ever since. Shane and Gwen were married June 3rd 1984. Gwen Ophus is the head clerk and cashier for Ophus Auction Service. Gwen has operated her own beauty salon for 29 years.

Shane retired from the Montana Army National Guard with 22 years of service.

Shane and Gwen have three sons. Mason is driving truck for Torgerson's in Havre. He helps with set up and clerking. Blaine is a certified welder and works for the PN ranch and graduated From Western College of Auctioneering in March of 2010. He helps with set up and is an auctioneer & ring man.
